Rich joined BlueLena in June, 2020 as a Sr. Media Consultant working closely with publishers with technology implementation and strategy consulting services.

A 36-year media veteran, Rich has been a visionary and transformational leader – from the early days of CMS, conversion to digital publishing, to driving today’s audience-centric data strategies.  As the Corporate Director of Data Strategy at GateHouse Media, Rich led the creation of the largest enterprise customer data platform (CDP) in US news media, resulting in a deeper understanding of audiences, driving revenue diversification and – in partnership with Google News Initiative – creating an industry best practice propensity model to increase paid digital subscriptions.

He began his career with the Erie Times-News originally as a photojournalist before transitioning into a role as its first Chief Technology Officer, and then later adding responsibilities as its Director of Audience Development Strategy.

Rich graduated from Mercyhurst University with a B.A. in Fine and Studio Arts. He resides in Erie, PA with his wife Dawn.
