Ryen joined BlueLena in August, 2020 as Projects Coordinator where she assists in process engineering and workflow optimization to ensure seamless new client onboardings and internal operational efficiencies.
In addition to her part-time role with BlueLena, Ryen is a PhD candidate in the NC State University Department of Forest Biomaterials, working with the conversion economics & sustainability research group. She has been published and has presented her research at the Fastmarkets RISI European Conference in Lisbon, Portugal.
Prior to joining BlueLena, Ryen served as a Marketing Analyst and Process Manager at LEAP Media Solutions (acquired by Upland Software) from December 2017 until August, 2020.
Ryen graduated Summa Cum Laude from NC State University with a B.S. in Textile Engineering. She also earned a graduate certificate in Applied Data Analytics.
While in school, Ryen was a 4x All-ACC performer on the women’s cross country and track and field team where she was also part of three ACC team championships. As a prep athlete, she won five US national championships on the track, as well as a runner-up finish at the cross country nationals in 2014.
She lives in Raleigh, NC.
