Christian Gillespie joined BlueLena in June, 2026 as Platform Training & Success Manager, where he supports publisher onboarding, training, and client success initiatives across the BlueLena platform. With a background in nonprofit development, CRM operations, and audience engagement, Christian works with publishers to help their teams successfully adopt workflows and tools that support audience growth, donor engagement, and long-term sustainability.

Prior to joining BlueLena, Christian served as Development Manager at The Lund Report and Oregon Health Forum, a nonprofit healthcare journalism organization based in Portland, Oregon. In that role, he helped lead the organization’s transition to BlueLena’s platform and worked across departments to improve donor communications, audience segmentation, campaign management, and fundraising operations.
Before that, Christian worked at Society for Science in Washington, D.C., supporting communications and engagement initiatives for a network of more than 200,000 alumni and supporters.
Christian enjoys helping nonprofit publishers feel more confident using tools and workflows that support their journalism and audience engagement efforts.
Originally from Phoenix, Arizona, Christian has also lived and worked in Japan through the JET Program. Outside of work, you can usually find him hiking one of Portland’s many trails, watching live music, or spending time with his Bernedoodle, Eno.
