With more than 25 years of experience across journalism, digital strategy, and audience development, Dustin is a recognized leader in driving sustainable growth for local and community newsrooms.

In his role, Dustin shapes comprehensive growth frameworks that empower publishers to build deeper connections with their audiences, optimize engagement funnels, and advance financial sustainability. He brings deep expertise in experimentation, digital content innovation, and strategic planning—helping news organizations evolve in an era of rapid change and increased competition for attention.

Prior to joining BlueLena, Dustin held senior leadership roles focused on audience growth and digital transformation, including work with the Blue Engine Collaborative and Graham Media Group, where he coached and advised newsrooms on strategy, experimentation, and revenue development. His career is distinguished by a track record of pioneering approaches that expand reach and unlock new opportunities for reader support.

Dustin holds a B.S. in Journalism from the University of Wisconsin–Madison and lives in Grosse Pointe Woods, Michigan with his wife and children.
